Public health refers to the science of preventing the occurrence and spread of diseases through organized efforts and keeping individuals, groups, organizations, communities and the society at large informed. It studies health patterns and threats of a population, analyses every aspect and concludes appropriate ways to prevent and treat diseases that threaten the public. The task of taking public health initiatives is undertaken by a collective group of health workers and professionals. The team includes medical assistants, midwives, bio statisticians, public health nurses, public health inspectors, and more.
