As the World Health Organization (WHO) states, “Wellness is a state of complete mental, physical, and social well-being. It is not just the absence of an illness or infirmity.” It is indeed a dynamic process of making the right choices towards ensuring a healthy life. Being well doesn’t only mean that one should be free from any kind of illness. It is a constant process of growth and change. One has to ensure not only physical wellness but also the well-being of other dimensions, also like social, intellectual, emotional, occupational, spiritual, and environmental. It is through various targeted and customized wellness programs that individuals aim to achieve overall wellness

A wellness program is intended to promote fitness and improve health conditions. Programs such as cash rewards, gym memberships, premium discounts and other incentives intended to encourage people to stay healthy and fit. For instance, there are wellness programs on diabetes management, weight loss, getting rid of addictions like smoking, and preventive health screenings that help participants of the program to lead a healthy life. According to specific individual needs and health concerns, wellness programs can be tailored to bring out the best results.
