There are three major segments of oncology, which include surgical, medical, and radiation. A doctor who specializes in the treatment and medical care of a cancer patient is referred to as an oncologist. The job of an oncologist involves explaining patients about cancer diagnosis process, treatment, and various stages. Besides, the doctor is supposed to help patients manage their cancer symptoms, side effects, and go through the treatment procedure seamlessly.
