A psychological therapy that aims to solve unhelpful cognitive distortions such as attitude, beliefs, thoughts, etc. through replacing their existing mental and Behavioral imbalances is known as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). This form of treatment is used to treat a wide range of emotional problems like depression, marital problems, alcohol & drug issues, eating disorders, and other mental illnesses.

A cognitive & behavioral specialist is a medical practitioner who undertakes proper training and education in CBT so that they can help people deal with their depression and anxiety related issues. The primary purpose of this therapy is to help patients manage their cognitive emotions by bringing in a change in their thinking and behavior.
